In 2016, I was commissioned to create a series of illustrations and infographics for the BBC. These were supposed to explain the (often complicated) Australian elections and show the massive scale that some of the electorates encompassed. Because of the international audience, I chose to use units of scale familiar to a global audience (such as comparing the size to the UK, or to Texas) instead of relying solely on units of measurement.
